Off target at the mo, not gaining which is the best I can say. No gym yesterday so no weigh in and at Nanny's for the weekend, although this is a good reminder of why I got here in the first place. Absolutely no fresh fruit and veg today, though I did decline pudding. As it's half term target for this week is not to gain, too many train journeys and eating out.
My general problem is that I'm a classic comfort eater, and although I don't binge, if I can't exercise the weight will very slowly creep up. So hopefully after half term, should be over the cold, recurring foot injury rested, no school appointments , which have been cutting into my gym times, ready to give it six weeks hard graft in run up to Christmas

Going out for salad is taking this too far! I'm not expecting this to be a quick process. I'm looking forward to fun and chips on the pier on Tuesday and a full English at the B&B. I will be on soup tomorrow and Friday to make up for it!

Have you managed to not gain this week?

I don't have scales at home so will have to wait till Thursday. Don't feel too bad though. I usually try and be sensible in the week so I can relax a bit over the weekend. Had a reasonably sensible weekend so probably will be ok. Full on till Christmas now. The soup pan is coming out !

Had roast chicken on Saturday so I've used the carcasses to make a good potful of stock ready for soup for this week. Not that I'm keen on soup but Kermit and one of my birth kids devour the stuff!
I managed to only put on 1 lb over the half term which was not too bad.

Bit of a standstill this last week or so, however I have broken one or two stubborn eating habits and have started doing weights at home again so not feeling too bad about it. My overall diet is improving. Veggies have always been my problem, but Santa is bringing mummy a nice new juicer for Christmas so will be able to drink more veggies which I don't mind so much, Happy to take it slow
There was an active thread a couple of weeks ago on auk site, people complaining that their weight was being raised as an issue, just couldn't see that flawed as the measurement is BMI s of 50 + are just not healthy in the long term. Someone then posted their new miracle diet, ver y calorie restricted consisting mainly of eggs, absolutley guaranteed to lose a stone a week. After two days she posted that she'd lost two pounds. Then silence. Hmm I wonder why.

No secret just calorie counting using the FREE myfitnesspal on line. Don't do any set exercise, but do love gardening and have been moving Bubbles stuff out of her flat for last few weeks. Not down to my target weight yet and doubt I will make it this side of Christmas.

Whats the result this week? How much have you lost overall?

Now that is an interesting question
Scale 1 in the changing room tells me I lost 3 kilos this week
Scale 2 in the gym tells me I lost 1.5 kilos this week
So
If I believe scale 1 I've lost well over half a stone If I believe scale 2 I've lost about 5 pounds
My jeans are looser, so I've lost something but who knows!!

Even if you take the 5 pounds that's pretty good: and great that your jeans are feeling looser. You'll soon be able to treat yourself to a new pair!

I also need to follow a diet or at least eat the right stuff ! but I might of found an aid to help me. Following a visit to the hygienist she has suggested medicated toothpaste to help my gums. Totally & utterly disgusting. Despite eating breakfast I am starving and desperate to eat something anything even fruit but my mouth still has the taste of that toothpaste which over rides any desire to eat ! it cost £4 (gulp) & called Corsodyl. The taste wears off by lunchtime. Eat your breakfast first though !

Well surprisingly, if not miraculously, I appear not to have put on any weight over Christmas.
I have set myself a target for Easter. I worked out a new diet plan yesterday, have got some extra opportunities to go to the gym over the next few weeks. After half term, when the nights are a bit lighter I am determined to get off my butt and go running when Simba is at his various clubs.
Just need a big injection of will power.
Though 10.00 at work is a point at which I usually raid the biscuit tin at work. Ive had a Satsuma today

When Mackerel had disappeared the other day and Kermit was pretty stressed out I found her in the kitchen munching a satsuma. "I'm pretending it's chocolate," she told me.
I put on 5 lbs over Christmas and have lost them all, strangely without really doing anything!

Groan.... May I join this thread ?
I finally weighed myself & No surprise to see I'm overweight. According to my Bmi I will just be in my within my limits if 10 kg drop off !
It's not exercise. I walk to school & the dog & run /plod about 3 times a week & put the mileage in. Of course you can always do more exercise & faster.
Nope it's the quantity & what I eat.
Little pickers have big knickers !
