That's brilliant, Serrakunda! I'm really impressed with the running. As far as I'm concerned, that's close enough.
How do you feel?

Though when I say 'hitting a ball about' I mean, I serve to her and she misses. She fetches ball, serves to me. I miss. I fetch the ball... and so we go on but we do jog towards the ball That made me laugh! Well done camp t

I was just going to send you a message to find out how this week went! That's brilliant.
With the running, it will help you if tell yourself that you beat your target. "Just scarped under" will kick off all sorts of neurones in your brain that will take away all of the pride in your achievement. The reality is that you achieved your target, which was good, and beat it by 2 seconds, which was fantastic!
Remind yourself, too, that you beat last week's run by 33 seconds. That's 1.77% faster, which is impressive! You're doing really well.

Where my running is concerned I'm quite happy to scarpe my targets, given that I'm barely standing by the time I finish ! I was very pleased yesterday as I haven't done that sort of time for about a year, and I did the first 2k without stopping which I haven't done since Easter,
Big challenge tomorrow, 5k fun run with Simba, he has done no training and is relying on being 10 to get him round

Hi, Serrakunda -
You've been doing really well so far. Apart from breaking yourself the other day, how has it gone this week?

Unfortunately the gym was being refurbished today so the scales went missing so no weigh in. Bit slower on the 4k run but I didn't think I'd be able to run at all so quite pleased, and we did our record breaking 38 minutes 5k fun run on Sunday
I worked out today that including what I did at the gym and all the walking to and from gym, the shops, back to gym for Simba's swim lesson, I have walked/run/ rowed 15k today

I take my hat off to you for all your hard work. It will pay off - for some reason this evening I jogged/walked back from my Mum's house - 10 minutes away - what was that about, never done that before. I teach sport and do very little myself apart from stand around and yell at teenage girls - what was I doing running? - got quite a glow now!

Hi, Serrakunda -
Have they replaced the scales? How is it going? Have you recovered enough to get back to your normal running?

Lost about half a pound, which is ok given the state of my toes, and the new ice cream parlour which opened last week, and we just had to visit. Curiosity satisfied we can now walk past the ice cream. Last time I lost a lot of weight I did it on about half a pound a week and it stayed off for a long time so quite happy with that rate of weight loss, more likely to have long term success Managed to stagger through a 5k run though feet are sore.

Sounds like a good result. And yes, better to lose slowly and keep it off than lose a lot and put it all back on again! Hope the toes improve soon.

How has it been this week? How is your leg? Have you been back to running freely again?

Why is it so hard to lose weight but so easy to pile it on? I have hone back to the bhs couch to 5km app and have my last "run" of week 4 tomorrow. Have to say it is nearly killing me! Good luck!

Feet are still sore and general exhaustion this week means haven't done the gym sessions I should have done. Went to the gym on Monday and couldn't even manage to run for 5 minutes. So had to settle for a less energetic 10k on the bike.
But lost the required half pound. Steady as she goes.

That's a great result considering you're still sore!

What's that saying
Feed your cold?
That's what I did! Did make it to the gym today for a gentle workout, knackered after 30 minutes. But did walk miles between shops, gym and school as usual on a Friday.
