Middly late home yesterday meaning I was late picking littly up. Transpired that he'd had a wobbly on his transport because they'd changed buses and his DS, which he takes and leaves on the bus, was on the wrong bus. Now, the bus co owner has said that he's not allowed to leave it on the bus any more. Not allowed to take it into school. Struggled to get him on the bus this morning. But managed it. Dh away of course. Phone rang at 8.45 as I was leaving. Middlys school. He'd had a falling out with another boy on the bus, hit him and got hit back. As you do. Then he'd had a nose bleed! Not related to smack, he gets them regularly. If he can't take his DS I'll never get him on the bus. Some serious negotiation required in order to preserve everyone's sanity. Why can't anything ever be simple??

Sorry you had such a trying start to the day. Our lad will not even entertain getting in the car willingly without the promise of time on his DS or portable DVD player. I have picked him up from school for an appointment having forgotten to charge the DS, then endured an hours journey of ranting and raving, him not me, it has resulted in a very interesting and honest representation of Bert at the theraplay session Hope you can reach a satisfactory compromise.

I suppose the simple obvious solution of handing it to reception when he arrives is out of the question with school?

gosh, its tricky isn't it when you have 3 at 3 different schools, same here, my son is allowed to take his mobile/ds on bus and then put in bag which is locked away till end of day, but a much easier method to leave on the bus so would see if you can get that re instated. Good Luck.

Thanks. We got it sorted and we're now back to him being allowed to have it on the bus. His escort is very sensible and she could see the merits of him being allowed to take it either him.
