Wishing everyone a peaceful, happy and safe Christmas!
We might manage part 3 of that. Peace was shattered at 5.03 when Hurricane woke up. Tsunami is never happy with his presents; he is always very much , 'next year can I have...' despite having spent all of this year asking for exactly what's in his hands. He also struggles with the relationships expected at this time of year. It's all a bit too much for him.
We should, I hope, be safe though. Not something we achieved in our earlier years but getting more consistent now.
I hope all of you get to enjoy some part of the day today and can relax a little over this next week or so.

Merry Christmas. I know, I'm a bit late, but was very busy trying to keep a very wobbly child from wobbling too much. (Oh, the euphemisms of the English language)
Proud to say, I did an OK job and we have got through Xmas without any destruction or violence.
Leo, so tricky and sad when they can't allow themselves to feel happy about anything.
Hope everyone managed to get through Xmas OK. - whether with or without your kids (which, in itself, brings out a whole different set of emotions).
How did things go with Special K, Serra?

Happy New Year everyone
We have survived our first Christmas with Special K.
its been lovely having my big boy home for a while. Special K has struggled a lot with missing his family and seemed determined not to enjoy anything, but we have been to see Santa, a panto, lights trial, up to Liverpool for Boxing Day, a basketball game and lunch with a group of adopters/foster carers and their various children and I think he’s had a good time. Lots of new experiences, a few spats but on the whole I think we can say its been successful.
