We cancelled the planned trip abroad - revelation in the playground the week before last when I realised DH and I stood to gain absolutely nothing from it and were both struggling to organise work around it so...frankly phew. Flew Mum in Law here instead and whatever the agro - and there is some - it's still 100 times better being at home. They had a roller skate day on Saturday, did Cutty Sark and Thames boat trip Sunday then Zootropolis at the pictures yesterday - have you seen it? LOVE IT! a genuine LOL. So now we have 2 days at kids' club and things get fuzzy after that but once MiL is on her way I expect things to settle down anyway. Absolutely pouring with rain today.

Fabulous weather so far. We have had wonderful day out today to historic castle with surrounding woodlands, gardens, play areas, and a mad hatters tea party, We have had French cricket, French skipping, hula hooping and weeding in the garden. We are going to the coast tomorrow, its Peewits birthday on Thursday (he will be 6) and on Saturday to an outdoor theatre where we are seeing a puppet show. So far so good. But I am not yet counting my chickens...birthdays can be tricky things........

All planned like a military operation as DH is away with work this week.
My brother and sister and 3 nieces and nephews here over weekend. Holiday club yesterday (with Mouse at nursery), so I could get on with stuff, play date today (dressing up clothes, face paints, change of clothes and footwear, apple crumble and home made bread all ready by door, bikes and helmets in car - all eventualities covered!), respite day for MB tomorrow (they go somewhere fun and have one-to-one in a small group of 3) and nursery again for Mouse, then tree climbing, rope bridge type adventure on Friday with MBs best friend.
Mornings from 6.30 and then again from 4.30pm to bedtime our nanny is here to help me keep things sane and safe!
Planning it all has been full-on but it's actually less stressful than getting MB to school, so....

Wow Daffin - that really is impressive - Brains' anxieties boiled over Monday afternoon as he tried to keep control over a bath which meant in the end I shut him out of the bathroom and had it myself! Even with him practically smashing the door down it was very much enjoyed!

Working here Well for three days anyway. Then down south in caravan for the second week of Sqk's half term next week - and avoiding a lot of meetings at work that there is a three line whip on. I pointed out lack of childcare next week and my holiday has been booked for 15 months - so they removed the whip.... Spent the glorious weekend in Newport with our great friend - now it is miserable and cold here (envious of other places) but at least we are in work....

Many of our ideas for the week have been scuppered by the weather too - school holidays in poopy weather end up being so much more expensive!! Instead of picnics, parks and beach it's been soft play, bowling and cinema... Plus lots of shopping for our summer holidays!
I was so cold last night I couldn't sleep... In June!!!!
Today Starlet is doing a photo shoot for her swimming club lol. She's so photogenic she'll love it. No real plans for the weekend yet, will see what happens with the weather!
