Home from little adventure in London, went to see Christmas lights at Kew Gardens, stayed over in hotel, walked a little bit of the Thames path this morning, then to convent garden for the transport musuem and saw some street performances
on the whole Simba impeccably behaved, nice bonding time after a few fraught weeks

Sounds really good! Glad to hear that Simba coped with it.

What did you think of the lights at Kew Serrakunda?

We both really loved Kew. Simba wants to go back next year. I wanted something Christmassy, but without too much Santa, trying to grow Simba up a bit without losing the magic.
I thought the fire garden was amazing and he liked the singing trees. A good evening out

Thanks Serrakunda
We went last year and Dash wants to go back again this year but I wasn't sure. I know it is a different trail this year though so maybe worth a return visit.
There's something a bit different about walking about in the dark :-) And I know what you mean about something Christmassy but with no Santa!
Actually we went on the very last day last year (Jan 1st or 3rd I think) so after Christmas.

Santa was about, but no grotto or dishing out presents, , and we just happened to be around when he popped up, but we could easily have missed his spot. Simba liked things like the wishing tree, kissing under the mistletoe, toasting marshmallows and mulled Apple juice
Lots of different things to see, but not overwhelming in terms of noise. We went at 7, think we picked a good time, Busy but it didn't feel crowded
