It did make me feel terribly old.
Particularly as when I was at university I was wardrobe mistress for a theatre group and we did Grease at the same theatre, 1987 is a loooooong time ago

As a teenager I had a massive crush on one of the actors in the school production, and saw it three times in a week. Not sure when I last saw the film until we sat down to watch it while staying with family friends last weekend. DD seemed to enjoy it but I found I truly hated it. So dated (that's 1970s dated, not 1950s), with a plot you'd never get away with nowadays. I have booked tickets for Guys and Dolls in London next year, more because I want to see it than because I think DD wants to. It was my dad's favourite musical. I am working up to the point where I consider she can handle Les Mis.

Oh wow I didn't know Guys and Dolls was coming back to the West End, one of my faves!
I love Grease mostly because of the music. West Side Story is amazing but probably beyond Starlet yet. We are going to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for her birthday though which I am very excited about! We have already seen Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Hetty Feather in the West End together.
Good job she appears to love musicals as much as I do!

The local arts centre have a Grease singalong on the last day of term. Doesn't start until 9.30 though, just too late for Simba
Might get him the CD

Went to see it with my boyfriend and double date...back row about 14.yrs old and it was my birthday.Lost my birthday necklace from parents under the seats and had to furtively sneak back in to find it. Now that's Grease! LOL I was terrified how to explain it's loss. But I still sing along , love it!
