Today was a home schooling day and Lapwing and I set off on a beautiful autumn morning for an adventure. We dropped Peewit off at school and walked to our nearest Train holt and off we went.
By 9.30 we were walking along an estuary with some lovely views. We saw Heron and other birds.
Lapwing walked for 7 miles with me and she was a delightful and determined little companion, daughter and all round star. Her little legs ached and her feet were throbbing but she did so well. She was interested in all the birds we saw...and the plants we stopped to look at. The walk was not easy and I felt she really wanted to please me by doing it. And bless her... she did...what a little star.
I really couldn't have asked for a more delightful little daughter. I was so proud of her....I know its so hard for her..as she remembers so much of her birth mum...but she is trying so very hard and wants so very hard to be a daughter and have a mummy....she so adorable. and for me to say that is the very good news....

What a lovely sunlit day. Life is so much nicer with just one child who wants to be with you and has no rivals. I hope she held it together when you got home and Peewit was part of the picture again.
