As some of you may know, we have just moved from the North of Scotland to deepest Englandshire and I am looking for advice relating to pupil premium.
Does this apply only to children adopted from English LA's/VA's who are at school in England or does it also cover Scottish/Welsh/ Northern Irish children who move to England?
I have tried to get clarification about this but am not finding the answer I need and school has not got back to me about it yet.
Thanks in advance

My understanding is that it covers all children who are being educated in England who meet the criteria (i.e. that have been adopted).

I thought it was all children at school in England - we have looked at moving south too and that's what we understood....

The school in effect claim it. They complete a return every year stating how many relevant children there are. It's not connected to place of birth

thanks all. I was on a website that said it was for children adopted from England who went to school in England but this appears to be wrong. Have heard from the school and they want a copy of the AO to progress it,
thanks again

I believe school are given a register of the children who are applicable. Carers verify the info. You'll be ok. Ask pasw to verify the regs with school if you need to.? Glad to hear you managed the move.look forward to hearing more it's a tough transition to make .
