I have been having a concerted attempt over the last few months to get rid of stuff that we don't need or use. Yesterday I ditched a footstool/ storage thing which the cat had ripped to shreds. Inside it was a pile of old DVDs which I've taken to the charity shop
but it also had a pile of programmes from my gig going heyday, and a collection of vinyl LPs and singles. I know it's daft, I don't have a turntable, I have most of them on CD anyway. But just can't bring myself to ditch them

Kept all mine....they seem more valuable somehow (not monetary)
I've even collected others along the way from those who chose to dump. X

£30 & you can play them ! www.brightlife.co/Item--i-78750?src=GPPC141363057&gclid=CM-U9eLPjMcCFYLnwgodeuQNqAI admit you will be adding yet another bit of stuff to your house but ...,,,, Meanwhile I'm am trying to summon strength to attack under my stairs. You have to open the door quick or everything falls out I've promised myself that it will clear it by the end of the day & the contents taking to dump & charity shop ! Mind I said that the first day of the school holidays in February ?

agghhhhhhgg Mr Mudlark has 4 flight cases ( that is about 200 records or more) all stored away............ not to mention the 100000's of CD's................... sell them...........give them to a charity shop....no one will want them once we die..who cares about LP's from the 1970's .....certainly no one born in the 2000's .... I am ' get rid of it all'.. Mr M .. is ' lets keep it, it may be useful' ....

But they are from my heyday, they are like photos for me, my memories
12inch Joy Division Love will tear us apart, Reward, teardrop explodes, Echo and the bunnymen, Frankie, programmes and tickets from gigs before they all hit the charts.
I have found a little corner in the bottom of a cupboard

I have mine in the bottom of my wardrobe, and I also have my parents' record player in another cupboard. It's an effort, but I can just make the cable stretch to the socket, so on occasions when I am planning a protracted period of time in my bedroom, I can even play them. I described to DD how we used to play cards as a family and work our way through our singles. Every three minutes, one of us got up and turned the record over or changed it. I don't think she believed me. Nothing to play cassettes on, but I still have them too.
