dd (19)had to go for an IQ test today. now I know she look for clues to see if she has things right or not. The DR was good and gave nothing away but I really struggled to keep a poker face. It started well how many months in the year12 after she said them and used her fingers to count them  how many weeks in a yearpause and shouts out 256  name a prime minister in the second world warwith hesitation Gordon Brown  what does tranquil mean to put down a horse . Thats what you do don't you with a tranquiliser AT this point I did burst out laughing as I could no loner contain myself.what does terminal mean
an airport
where would you find find an ear and and eyeIn the alphabet.She also had some pictures and had to say what was missing there was a frog with no eyes and it the pond that as missing which was ture but not the answer he was looking for.. I just wish I had a tape recorder to remember all the things she said. IT would have made a fantastic comedy sketch |

interesting questions for an IQ test though. Some of it is general knowledge surely - I think she did well to come up with the name of any prime minister, a lot of adults wouldnt get that.

Oh dear. Tsunami would also score poorly. Some of his latest misunderstandings:
- studlights instead of floodlights (but Mummy, footballers have studs on their shoes)
- ear puffs for ear muffs - have to admit this one actually sounds reasonable
- thinking that a little boy in his class (whose arm is fully encased in plaster) has had his arm cut off (Mummy, when they take his plaster off will they sew his mended arm back on?)
- after reading ten pages of his reading book, every one along the lines of, 'Katie wanted a pet dog. Katie got a dog. Jack wanted a milkshake. Jack got a milkshake....' The last page read 'Tom wanted an ice cream. Tom got a ...?' Tsunami looked a bit puzzled, turned to me and asked, 'Mummy, why did Tom get a question mark? - and no amount of explaining or reasoning could help him understand.
- in the car on the way to school this morning, apparently at random, he says, 'Mummy, they had their blazers on'. After craning my neck to see what other children we had maybe passed that had a uniform with blazers (and failing), I said those all encompassing words every Mother knows - 'Did they darling? That's good' only to get the response - 'That will keep them safe won't it?' One now thoroughly confused Mummy... luckily saved by a motorbike driving past - at which point Tsunami declares 'Mummy, he's got his down too, just like the firemen.' The light dawns - he's talking of the visors on the motorbike helmets, not blazers!

Oh ham.... Sorry I was helpless.... Poor you ....however did you keep up a poker face.... So sad coz I bet she was trying her best (est)....
Aggree you should write a two Ronnies sketch... ( two hams!! )
