We played a game of scrabble tonight
a year ago I would have had to help get the most simple of words. Tonight we played a proper game, only helped towards the end when getting down to the last few letters, and not before he had three words with 30 points.

Oooh that's great ? I absolutely love playing scrabble! Takes a huge amount of concentration to play a full game, it must have been lovely to watch him!

Have you played up words. Similar to scrabble but you can place tiles on top of a word to change it. Easier for those that struggle as you can use rhyming words much of the time.

Excellent! We like Bananagrams here (not Dash he's not ready for that but the rest of us enjoy it when he's asleep)
Not a word game but do you know Ligretto? We love that and Dash can manage it if we don't go too fast for him.
