I tried a bidet once for the intended use....not sure I quite got the hang of it as I was attacked by a jet of freezing cold water!
Always remember my step mum doing a good impression of hyacinth bucket mixed with les Dawson explaining why she'd had a bidet installed 'because......you know?!' . I didn't!

Don't know anyone with one.... went to a hotel once & only got as far as feet washing.... think they are just great for that job!?

I have friends who never use toilet paper but have a bottle with water beside the toilet, no idea how that's working exactly..... might ask.

I do worry about the 'drip' issue mentioned before. Maybe hold a bit of toilet paper to catch the drops during transfer? Corkwing? Would it work if you squeeze the tip preventing leakage during transfer? To be honest, it's just a whole lot easier and less unpleasant to stand up and be careful where you're pointing!
