No matter how much I wished for it, worked for it, stressed about, worried about and no matter how excited I was the very first time I heard it... There are some days when I hear it so many times it starts to grate on me!!!! So selfish I know, but she's soooooo clingy and mummy-obsessed today. I can't move without her, she is even accompanying me to the toilet.
Im reasonably confident it's because our anniversary is approaching - she keeps telling me how happy she is and how much she loves me... I feel mean for counting down til bedtime but I need my personal space back!
lol whinge over.

I get that all the time even now at 13!!!!!
I keep telling YDD that 'mummy' is a bit babish at 13 and could she not call me mum like EDD does.
She replied " I call my BM mum and you're mummy".
I suppose I should be happy about that but the mummmmmmmmmyyyyyyyy does grate at that age.

It's just getting worse by the day! I feel so guilty whinging about it because I'm sure prospectives would be reading this thinking they can't wait to hear the word, and other adopters thinking their problems are so much worse... I do know how lucky I am! It's just after a full day at work when we're both exhausted, and I'm trying to cook with her sitting on the floor with her arms wrapped round my legs complaining because she NEEDS a cuddle NOW but then when I stop to sit with her she's STARVING and how long will tea be... Or having to leave her this morning screaming after me that she can't last a full day without me... And for once I would love to go to the toilet without having her on my lap. It's weird!
I am praying this is just a phase!!! Jmk I am not reassured that she could still be like this at 13 lol!

I've considered changing my name to 'don't'. Then instead of 'Mom come here', 'Mom look' etc it would be 'Don't come here'. 'Don't look' etc.
