Middly came home with his school report today and amazingly after being 3 years behind with his reading, he's caught up. Spot on his age. Lots of individual input for his dyslexia seems to have had an effect. Still behind with his spelling but finishes y5 with a 3a for literacy and a 3b for numeracy. Given that he was unable to learn for such a long time I'm delighted.
Next target : to try to stop correcting the staff! Good luck with that.

That is brilliant... Well done middly... And some teachers (like me) don't mind being corrected if they are seeing that a wee one is working as hard as they can on a particular issue/ topic and that they can't concentrate in the next skill/ behaviour yet
