Gosh serrakunda such generosity - not!,,, my dd got 13p a week extra - no stamps here...
I am an old Luddite and love Toko's idea of sending cards and letters to friends and family to celebrate and appreciate them too
Whilst at it what about one to simba - just because ...

we are big card and letter writers in our family. Simba regularly gets a card or letter from nanny in the post and he has a note from me in his tuck bag every day

dont get me started on my pension, just had a statement. My stakeholder pension is worth - another drum roll please
£458
a year I do have one of those gold plated public sector pensions that everyone gets wound up about - on current estimates I will be able to pay my bills and eat for 7 months of the year

Ooohhh errr this sounds very archaic serrakunda ..... Forget the pay rise being bonkers how ever are you gonna retire on £458 a year ??!?
That is the real Q IMHO....

Simba is going to look after me. He's promised me he's going to ask his wife if I can live with them, he says he's sure she will say yes because then I can help with the children, there will be four of those so I guess she's might need a bit of help

That is just over 10 pence a day, or £37.44 a year! That is still £374.40 over a ten year period and £1872 in 50 years! Just save the money and you could buy Simpa a vespa! Attachment Deleted

granny at 50 sounds good to me, not particulalry sure I want to be landed with 4 babies in my 70s!
I had a young Nan, she was still in her 40s when we were under 10, my mum and step dad are both 70 and as much as they love simba their creaky knees get in the way.

I would love to be granny but being so old sadly I just can't see me still being around.... It makes me sad if I think about it for too long..... .... Unless they start way too young then I might be in with a fighting chance!?!?

A fiend of mine, in her sixties, has 4 kids, three girls and a boy, youngest is well into her twenties and oldest mid thirties, but not one of them has kids ( only the oldest is married ) Felt so sorry for her I offered mine as substitute grand kids!
