Clever girls... I was overjoyed when our two got going on their scooters... Dd1 showed no interest till dd2 got hers, then they were both off... Excellent for tiring them out and opening up new outdoor fun well done them!

Great news, I know how you feel! Though dd2 managed this two years ago and is still nervous on her bike - has some problems with her core balance so she does have an excuse but has recently had successful physio, so her excuses are no loner valid! We're even hoping to manage some whole family bike rides this summer.

Fantastic! For the ones who still have kids who can not ride bikes, it is better not even to start having stabilisers as the children will learn to 'hang against them. For little ones you can buy 'run bikes' basically a bike without peddles, do not do that. Buy a normal bike and take the footrests off, saddle so low that the child has the feet on the ground. Than they make speed with their legs and ones the speed is there they lift their feet. Just learning to balans and steer, than the peddles back on and they can cycle! My child who has huge balans problems managed it in 2 weeks, every day he had to practise. They will tell you when the peddles can be put back on! He still starts with running to get the bike going, but other than that it is great And peddling they already can as most kids have some sort of peddle cart.
