Wow! Poor you, what a shock...it is never nice when your child has to take a visit to the hospital. i bet 'our kid' will love this story of how he got his 'war wound' when he is older.....

Well, let's hope no more A&E visits for a while at least.
All the best,

Blimey our Kid doesn't do things by half does he?
Word of warning though, with two A&E visits in less than 4 months, if you are not careful you will have child protection checking things out. They do keep a record of hospital visits and these days they do check if there are too many visits or broken bones, so do be careful as he is still a LAC.
Think he might have to do some quieter activities for a while although the broken arm should slow him down a bit.

Hi Thanks for the best wishes. We have had a couple of phone calls from the SW and she arranged our SW to pop round.
They are very supportive, but we are very aware that he is being watched !
That's his second A and E after cutting his chin open so we better watch out.
It's embarrassing as I am a Paramedic , thankfully not based locally!

Hi Goat
Sounds like an action packed weekend! My two are both very accident prone and we are frequent visitors to our local A&E - so much so that the Senior Consultant has told me I am getting my own chair in the waiting room! I am constantly worried that social work will be called - in December and January we had ten trips to A&E mostly with DD although DS had three visits but so far nothing has come of it. I think that because they know that DD has ADHD (not diagnosed but thats what the consultant says) and DS has muscular problems its not a problem but it is still a worry. It has proved useful though as when DD went their with concussion the young doctor said she was fine - the senior consultant took one look at her - limp, pale and clingy - and said she was very poorly and she got the treatment she needed as she normally bounces round the place or is chatting, singing and figiting even with a broken arm.
Hope 'our kid' gets well soon and that the social work visit goes smoothly.

EEk Caledonia, thats a lot!
Thanks for the kind words, he's coping very well. The consultant is looking to reduce to a smaller cast end of the week so all is good. He STILL hasn't woken up at night. Bless him.!
