Quick update.
Drew K a makeshift visual timetable this morn, which he enjoyed and participated in. He didn't really want to check it, but it helped keep us focussed as I was then able to keep referring to it as I went along.
Gave him the clock again this morn, which he was really up for, and .....very clever boy....yesterday I told him he had to be dressed before the big hand was on the 9 (therefore 8.45) if he wanted tv. Today we were running a little later, and he got the clock, and without me saying anything he said "oh no mummy it's already on the 9! That means no telly!!"
So he's not only already got the concept but he retained the actual time to aim for. Clearly now I need to fix an appointed time that will work for every day , and keep it rigidly consistent!
Knowing a kipper the novelty will wear off and it will get more difficult again but it's a very good starting point.
Thanks for all the ideas and encouragement.

Great stuff!!
I've tried the clock thing with snooz, but all it does is give him something else that distracts him and he just doesn't get it. He constantly asked me what time it was now, even though it was visually in front of him. Digital or analogue, although he can read the time and tell you what it says now, it means absolutely nothing to him. Lol xx
