I am hoovering with a grubby toy bunny stuffed down my bra. Kipoer is very attached to this bunny. When he goes to bed he sniffs it compulsively, and when I pick him up from nursery he rushes to grab the bunny, rather than to connect with me. So I am on a campaign to make bunny smell like mummy. Mad the things you find yourself doing! Can't do any harm at least. In fact I've gone up two bra sizes (though I'm quite lopsided).

Only slightly bonkers Sockthing? - ha ha give it time and you'll be completely bonkers - a prerequisite for planet adoption - lovely image though!!! The things we do for love!!! Should be cleaning but enjoying the sunshine and ignoring the pile of washing and general carnage for the mo. Take 5 Mx

Will you be going to nursery with bunny peeking out of your cleavage?

Heh heh. The grubbiness of said bunny is rather embarrassing - but I can't bring myself to wash it, as he is such a sensory seeker and clearly sniffing it is very important to him. The smell of washing powder will just not have the same effect!! I think nursery would be very afraid if they saw two mangy grey legs sticking out of my cleavage!! Maybe I should try it...put them off their stroke.
Madrid - thanks that's interesting, I might try a bit of material too...he is very sensory so if I choose the right texture it may work if I can get past his oppositional streak about mummy-things. Funnily enough I have been putting "paper kisses" in his lunch box too, though was a bit frustrated that he assumed daddy had put them there. I also have been meaning to print off a photo but haven't had time to trawl through.

It seems very sensible to me :-) I am always hugging little Roo's big roo! Little roo also goes to sleep with items of my clothing and a hugme doll that has a space for a picture where the face is. She also has a picture of me in her lunchbox and wears my scarf. It helps but it still doesn't seem enough!

I spray the toy animals with my perfume. I get handed the toys most mornings, I even had to spray/waste my perfume under the arms of a treasured toy giraffe the other day.....

My sister in law quietly pointed out that I appeared to have a bread roll sticking out my back pocket the other day
I had popped it there whilst ext rating Our Kid and his cousins from a tree and forgot. He still ate it!
