Those of you that know me from the other place know that EJ has a diagnosis of complex trauma, conduct disorder and ADHD - all diagnosed by Great Ormaond Street CAMHS about 18 months ago. It took over 10 months for a local camhs team to reassess GOS's assessment of EJ and in the summer hols EJ and I went to discuss the ADHD meds that we are going to try ( I honestly think and have thought for the last 10yrs that he really does not have ADHD - I believe it is all trauma related). Well now we are on the count down to starting - Pre questionnaires have gone to school today and meds start on Sunday - wish me luck - when we went to local CAMHS to `discuss` the adhd and meds, EJ showed his sense of humour by telling the psych that it smelt in the room - `it smells of bullcarp` - she did laugh but not 2 mins later the anixiety had got to him and he did a runner - missing for over an hour and a half. Best bit of that for me was that I had the pleasure of asking the head honcho in the office for a contact no from the office for the police in case he wasn't found.
She did not understand what I was asking, so made it abundantly clear that as this was the last place he had been seen, the boys in blue would have to search the place from top to bottom - loved the look of horror on her face.
