Hi All, Since it's nearing that time of year I thought I'd add my favourite Christmas Fun Sites for those of you having your first Christmas as a family. www.elfyourself.com/Love this one and usually send these instead of cards - much more fun and eco friendly! You upload photos of your family as elves doing silly dances etc - good fun www.portablenorthpole.com Another free one. Your kids can have a video from Father Christmas which is personalised by uploading a photo of them in his book. It is free and is really convincing especially for children who are having doubts. www.noradsanta.org/This is a site where you can track Santa's progress on Christmas Eve. Great for getting them off to bed on time. www.fatherchristmasletters.co.ukFather Christmas sends a personalised letter. Very nice but does cost £5.99. Do it early so it arrives on time. If anyone knows of any more sites please add them.

Just discovered www.northpole.com which is quite nice. It has games, craft ideas, recipes etc. Children can send a letter to Santa online and get a reply, plus with a couple of entries online (with no information saved) you can generate a personalised Christmas story with your child as the star!

www.portablenorthpole.comSoooooooooooo disappointed. I just logged in to have a look at it this year (as my two DD's are way too old now, but we've been using this free site for years and always loved it), but I was horrified to see that this year you have to log back in to see if your child has made it to the "naughty" or "nice" list and you have to pay for the privilige of potentially upsetting/shaming your child. This is a new thing and i think it is awful to expect parents to pay to see if their child has made the nice list or not, not to mention the stress it would cause to your child. Why oh why have they done this and spolied a lovely site. I would not recommend it anymore.

A new one I have just discovered for those who can't afford to take their kiddies to the North Pole one, only problem is, having just discovered it, it is fully booked for this year, but I thought I'd post the link anyway for those who might want to take their kiddies there next year. www.laplanduk.co.ukIt's based in Berkshire, near Ascot, so a lot easier to access than the original North Pole one.

I have a friend (with two adopted Nichiren) who went to Lapland UK last year and said it was magical. Her two kids wanted to go back this year
