Well our beautiful little Sweetie is upstairs, fast asleep. She's been home 3 wonderful, exhausting weeks, and we're so blessed . Yesterday was just wonderful, we could practically see our baby relaxing in front of our eyes, and today has been equally lovely. I do hope others are enjoying their early days too.x

our 2 have been with us for all of 8 days now.. we listened to them talking in bed last night..and our 4 year old little girl was saying to her 3 year old brother..."we are falling in love with mummy and daddy " he replied.....mummy and daddy this is where we live forever now"......who knows what they meant by it....but it melted our hearts and made up for the more challenging stuff that goes on during the day...happy days, exhausting days, in many ways tedious..yes downright boring(I am happy to admit I find a fight over the same jigsaw piece for the 1000th time dull!) but at the end of each one there are always so many moments that remind us that we have indeed fallen in love!

Congratulations. It is lovely to see them relax and be able to be themselves. Hope you both enjoy the next few days and weeks as mummies

We are now approaching week 4 of placement...I am being such a mean mummy putting in lots of bounderies.. rules and restrictions...but little daughter in particular needs them and feels a bit better for them...cheeky monkey little son butts up against them and sulks and scowls but also seems to like them... mean mummy has refused all requests for sweets and chocolates....and brushed aside all requests for any presents. we sit down of an evening with a big bit of paper and a pen each and draw. I start of with a house and say who lives there... and off they go....only lasts about 15 minutes but its very revealing way of getting them to start sort of talking about they feel.... cheeky monkey let me blow a raspberry on his tummy today..he laughed and said ..why you do that mummy..i like it...

Hey mudlark..... Wow 4 weeks in...... Sounds like you are getting stuck in.... Good on ya boundaries are crucial... It's tuff isn't it!!! The honeymoon is over & it will be Xtra tuff to deal with the boundary pushing...... But you sound like you are dealing like a real pro....
It won't be long & the waters will get calmer again..... ( for a while anyway!!!!! )
Keep posting xx

I never realised how many different ways bounderies can be pushed , manipulated, eyes are needed in the front, back and side of head at all times!

Great to hear of your progress Mudlark, sounds like you are doing great. Why not start your own thread instead of hiding in Lovehearts. We oldies love hearing about new families and how they are progressing, don't be shy.
