Hi... Still here... how’s everyone..,
We’re calling it on home school... although it’s been pretty minimal For the last couple of weeks... Lockdown has been ok from the monkeys POV... made me rethink a few things about how busy we are and what can be scaled back in ‘normal times’ and how many of curious george’s interventions are actually worth it.
Feeling a bit apprehensive about the hols... usually our best time of the year... not so much this year.
Feel quite caught between trying to do what’s best for my dad and my monkeys... it doesn’t always line up (I have lots of sibs we are all sharing the caring, but it’s still hard trying to do two important demanding roles and feel like I’m not giving either my all.. but I’m trying...
Hope everyone’s ok/ muddling through xxx

Hi Choti..I remember you talking about your Dad .. its very tough when you are caring for your children and your parents, ( my mum in similar situation) I also used to look forward to the summer hols...not so much now as we have basically done them...twice over! You have a new addition! Cant imagine how hard that is! Well the next 6 weeks will certainly put our creativity, imagination, sanity to the test, what a shame we dont all live nearer so we could have a socially distanced mad run around with all our lovely children all in need of a huge pressure release. .... anyone else just want to see their children have some fun....i feel so sorry for them all!

What a fab sentiment mudlark xx would so love that too....
We too feel a bit flat as like you both we long for our lovely summer hols & time to reset xx boys angry, frustrated teens this year & this lockdown has been so very tuff.... baa particularly had been enjoying some firm healthy friendships... he at last was fitting in & loving it.... He has been able to 'chat' via social media but it is just not the same ! ....
Only improvement in my view is school are adamant return in September, so for the first time in weeks/months we have a target it is really helping.... Boys loving a goal/end we live in hope....
Please be kind to yourself choti xxx Dad must get the most of your attention otherwise you will beat yourself up later & that will be so tuff to live with xxx sending you very many supportive hugs xxxx
Home schooling has been hell for us all....in my view because school forget we have to live with our children & being very bad cop making homework be done has really really rocked the boat... here it has been armageddon...
OK guys & breathe xxxxxxxx
Xxhugsxx

I'm sure you're doing great Choti, you have a lot to juggle, you can only do what you can.
Feel like we are over the hump here. As he was year 11, school effectively finished in March so have had to keep Simba going, whilst working from home in a new Covid related role.
I've enjoyed the new job but its weird working with people you've never met in person. I've had enough working from home but unlikely to be allowed back until well into the Autumn.
We have salvaged something from the summer. We are in Wales for a week, booked pre lockdown for Simba's 16th birthday. Nanny and grandad will be joining us for a couple of days. Next week we are off to Cornwall for along weekend and we have another week in Wales at the end of August.
Some normality is returning, I've been out with my trainer and will give the gym a try out next week. Hairdresser on Sunday 😁 My Friday breakfast club is meeting again. No more queues for shops, except for the really tiny local ones. Simba us out and about with his friends, they came round to the shed for fish and chips on Saturday.
With GCSE results day and college enrolment, the next few weeks will fly by
