Despite me deleting over 500 episodes we are still in the grip of Peppa pig obsession. Finally had enough, told him there will be no more, meeting resistance but if I hear that theme tune and snorting daddy pig one more time I think the TV will end up with a brick through it

I had to break Starlet's obsession with Peppa Pig cos I was actually ready to go and hunt down the makers of it and do some serious damage... We have slowly moved up the age ranks and are now possibly just below chronological age with Sofia the First!

How about alternative scripting ? Ideas for titles...
'Pedro and the unusual powder"
"Daddy pig and embarrassing bodies"
"Bunnies on benefit, interview with mrs rabbit"

How about thinking like a friend of ours did with a similar character. He told his ( vegetarian) daughter " Wibbly pig makes a lovely bacon sandwich"

It's the Peppa overload, were not talking about watching one or two episodes a day, it's coming down in the morning and finding Simba literally with his nose to the screen, knowing he's probably been there for an hour, having to argue to get him to switch off for breakfast, having to argue to get him to get dressed, clean teeth get ready for school bus without switching back on again, I lose, then doing it all again at night when he's watched it for an hour ,with that flipping theme tune going off every five minutes, worse at weekends when he watches more tv, it's like a drill going off in your head, relentlessly on and on and on.
I think I may be a little stressed out

Littlebee is in her Peppa Pig PJ's and Peppa pig slippers cuddling her George soft toy eating her breakfast out of her Peppa pig bowl with her Peppa pig spoon and drinking milk out of her Peppa pig beaker. Now all we need is an episode on the iPad......

I think you need to go on a Peppa Pig appreciation course. Swap it for Teletubbies for a few weeks and you will beg for the little snorters to come back!

I was always a bit sad my son hated peppa and thomas the tank engine. He tended to stay dry if I made sure the george pants were next in the pile.... He was scared of peppa, he didnt like daddy pig falling out of trees and crashing cars and boats.... weird! I am fed up of scooby doo at the moment though......

It gets so tedious doesn't it? Basically Disney Junior is on all the time in our house, and if Sofia the First is on, she will happily turn over to watch the same episode again on plus one if I let her!

Baby Jake is the worst program on cbeebies ever......
My son watched grandpa in my pocket for the first time in ages and he was devasted as jason mason has grown up and the children are different in it. He decided that even watching tracy beaker was better than his tv memories being destroyed!

I can't stand the Disney Channel - it is wall to wall prima donna american pre teens/teen all shreiking & being riduclous. What is interesting about that? I love it when my AD decides to watch 24 hrs in A&E or Emergency Bikers or Murder she wrote - at least it is not screeching!

I have to confess .... I have never ever watched Peppa Pig!
With dd1 it was Teletubbies - she learnt a lot about technology back then as we only had it on tap via video (ooh makes me sound ancient) and she learnt exactly where to rewind to in order to get her favourite bits over and over again. Still get that theme tune stuck in my head at times....
Now it's all Embarrassing Bodies and Medical Emergency etc.
Latest, since we subscribed to Netflix, is Outnumbered. Both mine have watched this and love it (as do I, so no bother). Dd2 does a wicked Karen impression. Come to think of it, they're not a million miles away from each other, personality-wise.

I agree about the Disney channel - it's horrid. But it's Disney Junior we watch, Sofia the First, Henry Hugglemonster, Jake and the Neverland Pirates... All harmless stuff.

Those obsessions are so hard to cope with. Stig gets obsessed with people and I get to the point where I feel, if the person's name is mentioned once more, I'll kill someone.

Would he do other Peppa Pig stuff? eg jigsaws, or downloaded colouring? Least it'd be quiet. Ours is currently just dance on the wii - at top volume, - obviously the least tuneful songs!!

Peppa Pig World is actually very good. There is a very good ride where you seem to be moving in about 4 dimensions at once.
But the rest of Paultons Park is also very good and probably fewer queues.
Take costumes for the muddy puddles bit in PPW, but also the water area on the other side of the park.
I never used to think much of the food, but you can take a picnic in. Also MacDonalds at J2 M27 for the end of the day.

I love Paultons Park - we haven't been since Peppa Pig was built. Lots of green spaces, doesn't feel crowded, - much nicer than Chessington or Legoland (imo).
