After 4 days of intros babybee is home and having a nap upstairs!
The last few days have been a whirlwind! I am overwhelmed by my feelings for babybee and we couldn't be happier. The transformation from crying when we first met her to the big smiles now is amazing! She is even crying when I leave the room now. It was hard saying goodbye to her amazing foster mum and I could not keep the tears away.
Littlebee who is almost 3 has been a star. The most wonderful thing I have ever witnessed was watching Littlebee meet Babybee for the first time. She walked straight over to her and said hello Babybee and then 'it's ok' while stroking her legs before giving her a big kiss on the head. Babybee gave her the biggest smile and is now transfixed by her big sister when ever she is in the room. The first time Babybee came to our house Littlebee went to get her most precious blanket and cuddly toy and put them on Babybee's knee. It is almost like an Instant bond and mutual understanding between them is present already.
Looking forward to lots of snuggles with our girls the next few days. There will be lots of challenges ahead I am sure but for now I am a very very happy mummy to 2 beautiful girls.

Oh WOW Congratulations Lovelybee and a big welcome to Babybee. You will now risk the wrath of Moo for depriving her of your intro's, but I'm sure she will forgive you if you post the odd update when you get a chance. How lovely that Littlebee is enamoured by her baby sister. Long may it last - Enjoy!

Wow! Babybee slept till 7! I gave her a dream feed before I went to bed and she slept through! In fact I woke her checking on her at 7 and was greeted by a great big grin! She is the most smiley baby with amazing eye contact and is constantly giggling and babbling!
It is amazing that she has been placed so early. It was initially thought we may make it to matching panel in March when we were first told about her but we weren't the only family being considered and we had to wait while various medical appointments/investigations were carried out. She is the youngest baby our LA have moved on that anyone can remember. Children are definitely being adopted at a younger age in general in our LA and they have lots of babies coming through the system. I know of 3 other babies being placed at 7-9 months. We were actually approached by our LA to adopt again as they knew we originally wanted siblings!
Babybee isn't a biological sibling to Littlebee but they look incredibly alike. I think it is going to be easier for Littlebee too with babybee being so young as I can keep babybee in a sling to keep her close/encourage bonding and still do all the usual activities with Littlebee.
Both my girls are sleeping so time for tea and a biscuit while I can!

Oh, lovelybee, what wonderful news! I am in tears just reading it. DH and I go to Panel on 5th June and then we hope to be matched with a very little one. We have put 0 to 12 months on our form. So encouraging to hear your news.

4 months, wow!
She'll just be starting all those wonderful milestones - hope you've got a lovely diary to record them in! (I keep a monthly diary for all the babies I care for and list everything new they've done that month. Don't think you'll remember them all and do it in a few months because you'll forget)

4 months ...a really teenybabybee. She wont have to look far for her early memories. So glad to hear Littlebee is equally enamoured. Enigma and Whizz get along great - most of the time and Ä° know the settling in of Whizz was so much easier because she had a big sister...and Ä° had some experience of parenting by then.
hope you have a long honey moon
