YAY!! SW has just confirmed that the proposed placement for AD2 has all been finalised. She will look at it next week and move the following week (they don't want her to look around half term week as there will be a lot of young people around and it might be intimidating for her).
It is only about 2 hours from us. The good news is that it is relatively close to AD1's hospital (about 1 1/2 hours away) so we should be able to visit both girls in the same day. And even (dare we hope) be able to have visits with all of us together once they are both settled!
Feeling a bit more optimistic
(Is it too early at 6.00 to crack open the vino? Probably? OK celebratory cup of coffee it is then!!)
