It's a bummer for you but these things happen so don't feel you've let anyone down - hopefully you're almost at your next medical now. Good luck with it all. I have been sent the paperwork for mine but need to go through everything this weekend to get my head round it all (have had stinking cold all week). Let us know how you do. xx

Don't have pets but the health and safety assessment is pretty straightforward. Don't worry too much because if there's anything you need to do to pass it, they will just leave you a list and then you have to have it sorted before panel.
It varies what they look for, our county are pretty pedantic so I had to have handrails on the stairs and fire escape windows upstairs.

Health and safety check is usually pretty ok TBH. Stair gates, child locks on cupboards with cleaning products in them, things like that that are just common sense really and easy/quick to do.
They might want to see if you have an area where your dog can go to to be safe it dog needs to get away from child, so like a stairgate across a utility room door, or a dog crate or something, more for the dog than the child if dog wants to get away from the noise/stress etc..
They will probably give you a list, which helps to jog the memory as although you have a BC already, you can sometimes forget what it's like having a LO around and it helps to tick things off a list.
