So AD2 had been told that a place had been found for her (170 miles away!) but on paper it looked good.
It has now fallen through as our SW has found out that there is another young person there who is displaying the same behaviours as AD2 - absconding, overdoses, etc. So back to square one!
Another possibility has been identified (only 110 miles away - goodoh!). The SW are following it up today and trying to get it to happen sooner as we are worried about the care she is receiving where she is now.

The latest is now that the place mentioned above is not suitable as there are others there who self harm a lot and AD2's psychiatrist thinks that will be a bad influence on her.
So yet another place has been identified. It is a therapeutic community (at last!!) in the same direction as the hosptial her sister is at. Which will make visiting easier (we would be able to do both visits in one day), face-to-face contact for the twins easier and family therapy easier. (They would be an hour apart from each other.
However we have to wait for an assessment to be done as our LA has not used the place before but they are hurrying it up as they do not want her to remain where she is for too much longer.

Sounds much better for the girls & you that they are nearer each other for visits.....

She is in Shropshire - nearly in Wales - which is 170 miles from us!!
Forutnately her current placement are good about meeting us half way for contact, so only a two hour drive, rather than 4! The next placement may not be able to be so accomodating!
