As Sqk commented this morning at least it is not 'funny' school again. Big change for us is before & after school club still running and therefor me being able to do my face to face teaching at university level. Other than that it has had little change on us as we had hunkered down when university went back given the fact we are both clinically vulnerable. DH is going to be working from home more but that is due to 2 positive tests amongst the five pharmacists so his firm wanting to minimise risk. So at most each day there will be 2 in - one upstairs in their office and one as responsible pharmacist in dispensary. Today it is DH and that is it as he is RP all day on a Thursday

Peewit was so enjoying year 6 but from today has to self isolate for two weeks due to teacher having Covid, he was in tears when I collecetd him from school. It is going to be a LONG two weeks! Thankfully ( although it makes no sence) Lapwing can continue to go to school. I am really struggling to think exactly how Peewit can 'isolate' from the rest of us....!

Apparently just his year group, infact only half of his year, they are two classes of 30, and he was unlucky to have the teacher who has COVID. So half of year 6 are at home for two weeks. But the rest of us can go about our busines unless of course we display any symptoms! In Lapwings' school half of year 11 have to isolate due to a student testing positive , she is year 7. We are in the Southwest which until now has been pretty low on cases.....it really is a confusing set of rules!
