Eek... how are people and kids feeling
I’m looking forward to just being with silverback, I’m also used to having my little gang... we are all on an even keel and it’s been hard work thinking of how to entertain them, but I think they’ve done really well. anxiety is kicking in with the bigs and I feel we’re going to have to strap ourselves in for a fairly emotional half term...
We’ve scaled back everything after schoolishand said they can tell us when/ if they feel like Going back.... the only thing we are keeping on is horse riding because it’s better than any intervention for howlers anxiety.
I haven’t missed chasing up lacklustre professionals for fairly ineffective interventions... or random school based can we have a broccoli costume, something for the bake sale and a top scale home made model of the coliseum for tomorrow please

well its off to college for us
on the plus side - no more ironing white shirts and putting creases back in trousers, out of the house so I'm not trying to work competing with the PS 4
on the down side - I have no idea if he will cope with the course
he is chomping at the bit !

A week monday for us too, and they can't wait! Lapwing off to secondary school ( we'll wait to see how that goes) Peewit back to the last year of primary school, his first time doing full time school with no home school days! He had been dreading it; but since having 5 months at home he is more than ready to go back full time. I am expecting some very bumpy days ahead and maybe some challenging behavior. I will sort of miss them but honestly I am kind of desperate to have a bit of mental/emotional space to recharge my very worn out batteries - I think we all have done heroically over the last, nearly half a year, it's probably not all over yet but at least there is a moment of peace, well for those of us that have no very littlies still at home!

Well as expected Monkey Boy is now back home in his room refusing to go to school. He only managed 30% attendance pre lockdown and then lockdown did not help. School are out of their depth and we are trying to move him but of course it's never easy. Jealous Dog is no longer a Jealous Dog . he has metamorphosed into an adult over the summer and is now really quite lovely . He passed 4 GCSEs so he's at college doing an advanced diploma in Music and much to his annoyance re-sitting Maths. Hey ho.
