I saw this... I was interested in the claim that 1/5 are unaffected... sadly I don’t think you can be unaffected by that level of neglect... the early years are so formative

I have circulated this to the TAC for my AD. I have asked SO many times for an IQ assesment and whether she has learning Disability. No-one wants to listen. Too hard to do, I suppose. She will be 18 this year.

A full neurocognitive assessment can be done for about £800-£900. Not sure if ASF will fund as although it's assessment there is an educational element which is obviously not funded under ASF. However the assessment is done by a clinical psychologist and an educational psychologist so that might help. The assessment is done as part of assessment for FASD as well. It will tell you overall IQ and strengths and weaknesses in different domains. If you cannot get funding and you really think it will help might be worth doing a crowd funding exercise even if you only raise part of the money.
