We received the letterbox contact agreement for LLB’s contact but is totally blank! I emailed LA to ask if this is correct as we are not happy to sign an agreement when don’t know what we are agreeing to or if they can confirm who it will be with and when it is due. My reply back was we will be advised in due course!! Seriously?? With BB the contact co-ordinator came to us and discussed who it would be with and we decided when the contact would take place, I know it is not the same LA and a meeting may not be possible due to logistics but a phone call to discuss surely. Anyone else been expected to sign a blank contact agreement?

OMG ladybug...
You are positively heroic for conacting letterbox co-ordinator already... I would have ignored it....
Follow 'normal' protocol is my view... would you sign a blank authourity for a direct debit or mortgage loan interest coming out of your bank account? I think not ...... WTF......
If it were me that really would be it.... All communication from me would stop.... I would refuse to contribute to any l/b contact at all... how can any trust with l/a be garnered after this?? How can this be in lbb best interested? How have ss even considered her? Nope No Way Never Ever... Sorry Bye Bye.... You Have Blown It SS....

Omg! No I definitely wouldn’t sign it!!
I always email rather than phone on concerns so I have a record later of what the concern was/ when I raised it and who responded to it... just in case their are any further issues

Xx moo xx Moo I didn’t contact them. LLB’s social worker asked if we had signed the contact agreement yet which we said no and then they sent us the blank agreement!

I would email them back and say I'll sign the document in due course once it has been updated to contain particulars which are acceptable - then leave it at that. Cc your own social worker, maybe IRO if you have their address, and let them sort it between themselves.
Absolutely ridiculous.

I am known as the email queen at our SS. Wonder why I have to write so many emails? They don't seem to understand that if they did their jobs properly and kept us in the loop, I would not have to bother them so much! Never conduct by phone only as no proof re what has been said.

So just a little update on letterbox contact....so we still have not signed contact agreement as still have no idea of when it is due and who we are writing to. Last week, 7th Feb, however we receive a letter asking us to contact the contact co-ordinator, by the time got got round to replying it was 4.55 so I emailed them. Monday I received a reply as follows:
Good afternoon
I would like to request a letter.
I was rather shocked how impersonal and curt her reply was. Our SW has tried to call the number on the email several times without any answer so she is now going to email them!
In the APR it states letterbox is to be once a year, LLB has been with us 7 months (not sure where that time has gone) and birth family had a settling in letter in September/October time before we met BF.

Hugs ladybug... sounds the 'usual' SS organisational kerfuffal! 😉
Think I'd sit tight/send a similar reply... when? To whom? Are you sure you know 😳 tbh no reply as it could be years before they work out to whom or when 😵 ...
