Just been ridiculously busy, I've gone up to four days a week at week and finding it hard to adjust. Simba has had dental surgery, college open days, parents evening..........

Bit of both. Things ticking on for matching on Wednesday, house filling with all the large baby stuff I was very happy to get rid of before, feeling like I canβt breathe till panel is over. Battling school over howler being bullied, pushing camhs to get her support to deal with the emotional fallout. Also dealing with the fallout from school stopping the out of class sessions curious george was doing in the afternoons because it doesnβt look good for Ofsted. Canβt wait to have us all of school for intros and start reforming as a 6. Iβm not a natural wait-er Xx

I feel all I post is always negative and so trying to distance myself a bit more from it all. Realised that what ever I do, it is frowned upon by someone. Tired of fighting SS, care providers, keeping on an even keel with AD and also maiantining relationship with OH.
Trying to see myself as less of an adoptive mum, but more as a person myself.
As part of self care, self preservation by whatever means becomes more important.

(((nzhb)))
I'm sure everyone would love to hear about what you get up to on your journey to becoming yourself again
I am now able to leave Simba alone in the house in the evening, I've started going out to theatre, cinema and gigs again - just like the old me

We have had months of building work, inside and outside the house, it has been very hard to manage with the children and so I haven't been around much. Things are a little problematic with Lapwing at the moment and I am looking at further therapy / life story for her. Peewit is doing well but come June will be starting school full time which might be tricky. The good news is after years of waiting we have an allotment, and although not the best time of year to start has given the children such fun already, all that proprioceptive digging does them the world of good. Who knows next year maybe I will be able to have home grown sprouts on Christmas day! It's so nice to hear snippets of news from others, the highs and the lows, I hope more will chip in when they can. xx

Peewit planted some broad beans yesterday, Lapwing some tulip bulbs and we are going to get some onions and garlic in on Saturday. An allotmenteers/gardening thread sounds good, nice to talk broad beans and curly kale instead of attachment and trauma sometimes!
