Last Sunday I had my gall bladder removed. NHS at its finest - in hospital at 7.15, in theatre at 8.15, back on the ward at 10.30, discharged at 4.30.
I'm recovering well, the four incisions have healed but its all very bruised and tender. I'm mobile but can't bend or stretch, or walk more than about 10 minutes. Simba is keeping me supplied with mugs of tea, doing his homework mostly without complaint, doing his washing and generally being his charming self.
Will be off work for at least another week. Its nice to have a break from work, before I left it had reached new heights ( lows) of utter mayhe with at least three potential grievances, one potential disciplinary, two people who cant speak/write English properly (we run a telephone helpline) one on long term pregnancy related sick leave and me who has stuggled with health issues since last August. We are a team of 10.
I've read four novels, watched endless TV. This week I am going to sort out my paperwork and boxes of old photos, and compile my complaints about little bro.
Buts is so flipping boring !

Sending hugs xxx
Time off always sounds such a good wheeze but.... to not be able to do so much kind of ruins it.... I get that too much book reading, sitting down & mad daytime tele would be a nightmare come the finish....
How about a trip to the library for some moovies or plays/shows on dvd ?
Sorry work continues to be a real drag.... are you still on job swap?
How about planning an office coo.... blow by blow plans for the take over typed neatly on A4!? 😨
Sending hugs & new coping juice xx Heres to a quiet spot of shade in the garden & yet another good book xxx
Or a good debate with Ed? A new manifesto perhaps xxx
Xx moo xx
