AD is at a residential school/care home ( not our choice) Plans are being made for her to return home.
3 weeks ago she was 16 & was v pleased to have a bracelet that she wanted, with charms from us and extended family. Over last 24 hours this bracelet and her memory stick with birth family photos on it has gone 'missing' from her residential placement. We are all suspicious that another resident has taken it.
Value of bracelet is £200. I do not think this has been 'lost' as AD very attached to it and both these things are of great importance to her. There are only 2 other residents & one of them was at home when items went missing.
Wha should we do?
I am inclined to wait until a deadline for the goods to be 'found', but if not then I may report this to the police. AD says nothing is safe and wants to bring a lot of her things home.
Sigh.

So sorry this has happened. If they have not been found by now, I would contact police straight away. Sadly, the charm bracelet has probably been sold on by now, but you may still be able to retrieve the stick, as it has not really got much monetary value. Hopefully, it was not taken maliciously, in the sense, that they wanted to get at your daughter emotionally.
