Everyone is different so there may be no point in asking but.... MB was doing quite well on Concerta. But then he had a few problems at school and day camp - always in the afternoon. We and the psych thought he was metabolising quite fast and suspected he had no cover from his concerta after about 2pm. We switched to Elvanse. Things are better at school but boy are we seeing a rebound. From about 5pm until about 8-9 he is back to how he was before we got the diagnosis. It's exhausting. He's manic, defiant, unreasonable, rude and the CPV is back. Wondering if he might be better back on the Concerta with a fast acting Ritalin top up at school. Has anyone else seen massive rebounds with Elvanse?

I don’t have any experience, yet, of Monkey Boy on meds, so I can’t really help. I wish I could.
If no one else has the experience to help you here, have you thought of joining the Potato group? Members there have lots of experience with meds and CPV and may be able to advise you.
In the meantime, I wish you strength to cope with the return of the violence and what sound to be awful awful evenings.

Sorry this is a bit late, I've only just returned to this forum. Our DS has this problem so what was done was the Dr prescribed an extra dose of short acting Medikinet at 5pm which lasts till 9pm ish.
He is now 16 and this has worked well since he was 8. We have now moved his medikinet dose to 6pm as he is up later. He also has 5mg in the morning with his Concerta so this kicks in faster than the Concerta and he is able to get ready for school.
