Dear all,
It's school holidays once more, we are on day two and as usual it's taking a while to get into a anything resembling 'settled'.
I made the ridiculous error of allowing a water fight with pistols in the garden between my two now aged 9 and 8...I dreamt of sitting indoors with a cup of tea. How long do you think that lasted without total dysregulation...……. the kettle hadn't even boiled...… Silly Mummy!
I am wondering how everyone is fairing, and hoping that we all have some great days as well as the inevitable challenging ones. x

Mudlark - what were you thinking??? Mines been great so far ;-) Big Fish at residential summer school for four nights and Twisty mountain biking in Scotland with young carer for two nights so I have fully packed the van ready for our three week Swedish trip! I had a three night weekend in last two weeks and I can actually say I am starting to feel human again after being on my knees. Big F is finishing school and starting three new placements and it has been horrendous with no-one taking his suctioning needs seriously. However, he had a really bad choke with blue/black face and vomiting and screaming and close to death this week at school's summer school so guess what - he is getting familiar support from school staff who are well experienced in his worst chokes going with him to college until college staff are fully competent. It took a really bad choke to do it though! And it is all part of the same foundation so wages are the same whatever!

We have given up on much hope of #familytime #makingmemories #summerfun #livingthedream - just quoting the hashtags on all my Facebook friends posts. I wrote a post and used #souldestroying #livinganightmare #relentlesshardwork #justaboutsurviving We are building in time with each of the boys with each of us but keeping it short with low expectations. We have an all action holiday booked with a relentless timetable of activity after activity - this is the best way to survive we find. We are making use of camps and a couple of play dates. Monkey Boy is struggling with relationships so again keeping those really short. Taking the opportunity to get all our medical reviews in. Just remembered that MB is on 3 month dental reviews not 6 so need to see if I can get one of those in. I am sure we will survive but if anyone asks if I've had a lovely break I might have to go to my wellbeing room for a scream.

I have learnt what works for us. We have a pretty relentless plan for the summer but fortunately Simba can enjoy family and friends.
Your well being room sounds great
