Big fish finishes school!!!!!!!! After 16 years at same school. Twisty off to Poland with aunty and cousin for a week by flying there. Me, Big Fish and two carers drive to Poland. Meet up with Twisty. Then Poland to Sweden by ferry. After a week two more carers fly in and first two carers fly out and we drive up to Ostersund to visit moose farm then drive back. Away for three weeks and one day in total! Doing whilst Big Fish still can. Who knows what next year might bring???

After long battle and I'm still not sure whether to battle further Big F is at school's college three days a week and local day centre two days a week. Been having huge problems with day centre as dickhead of a manager said Big fish would not get 1:1 for his suctioning needs and 'they only do one activity in the morning and one activity in the afternoon and perhaps you need to let go' . Obviously i was incensed! After huge meeting with Head Of County's Adult service person with dickhead where I repeated back word for word what dickhead said to me - 'If you don't like the idea of not 1:1 and one activity perhaps this isn't the place for big fish.' He also said 'My son has special needs and is often in life threatening situations so sometimes you just have to let go'. So your son has autism and is threatening to throw himself out of a window and you cannot change the outcome??? My son stops breathing and I am unable to change the circumstances that affect that whereas you could put lock on the window. HOW IS THAT SIMILAR? ? So he withered in the meeting. Big fish was present and had a sleep apnoea at end of meeting - very dramatic. Big F now has 1:1 and his own curriculum at Day Centre. I would still argue but need some time back. School to college 5 hours a day. School to day centre 2 hours a day. Just need some time back to mange Twisty who is full in to aggressive teenager mode.
