We've just a letter to say all children in yr 9 will be asked to complete this. The results will remain confidential between the school nursing team and the child and will highlight areas where the child or family may need help. I am inclined to say no thanks. I think we could end up with inexperienced people dabbling. I can imagine questions like... Do you ever feel anxious? Yes all the time? Do you worry that you might not be adequate? Yes all the time? Do you feel happy at home? Yes but not when my brother freaks out. Do you find it hard to concentrate? Yes all the time. Do you worry about what you eat? Yes all the time. Do you worry that you might be too fat or too thin. Yes all the time. You get the idea - I am just guessing. Parents don't even get to see the questions. We don't need red flags to be picked up we have been waving them since forever. I can't see that this will open doors to actually useful services. It will just be PPP parenting course and some websites. Does anyone else have any experience of this.
