Yes, thank goodness school, is over for a week .Picnic and den making in nearby Norman Castle tomorrow with another adopter, cycling, swimming, picnics and parks, and then on Friday Peewits 7th Birthday and off to yet another castle for Pirates day and hopefully sunshine and ice creams.
Mr M is off this half term which is unusual, so hopefully it will be a breeze compared to other half terms. ( hollow laughter...) I hope everyone has a good week and finds some hard won moments for a little R& R for themselves.....

Just got back from camping this weekend, a chill out day tomorrow, followed by work for me, sports camp for LO, ending with another weekend camping trip and meeting up with FCs.
Much as I hate having to work during the holidays, I tend to work during the short ones so that I have more time off over the summer. It's not perfect, but it's the best I can manage.

Funny weekend as DH on-call pharmacist so couldn't go too far in case he had to go in. One visit Saturday afternoon due to fridge failure in van meaning fertility drugs had to be re-dispensed and couriered. Several more phone calls thanks to a muppet somewhere changing a delivery to collection (so driver turned up expecting to collect unused medication - patient was expecting medication). Thankfully packages of dispensed medication found and couriered out so he didn't end up having to go in today. Follow-up visit to Sarah Lloyd on Saturday morning for DH & I while Sqk went to Granny - we came back via cat rescue to visit the soon to be new family member. Got various bits done around house, a tip trip made and clothes passed back to another adopter for her younger son. Today supposed to be Granny & Grandpa (DH's parents) visiting but Grandpa cam down overnight with D&V bug so not come - not sure if we will now see them before we go to France for first week of summer holiday
Three days of work this week then I am off till 12th - Sqk's school has a two week half term so we are off to Newport (Wales) on Saturday after swimming lesson to see our great friend down there before we all go to Longleat Centre Parcs on Monday till Friday. Back north so that I can take Brownies to activity Day on Saturday (and DH & Sqk can pick up new family member) and then on Sunday I have to go do my first aid training for Brownies - as otherwise the pack couldn't run come end of month as neither leader would have valid First Aid.

Very glad of the break here. Dd1 has GCSES. She's been staying calm so far (quite an achievement in itself) and taking it all seriously. Revision not her strong point but she has been persuaded it might help! Nice to have the week's break to catch up.
Dd2 also has year 7 exams next week and needs me to help her plan revision too. So bit of a "bus man's holiday" for me ( also have reports to write for work.....groan )
Managed day out to grandparents and another day out planned later in week. I am getting my hair done and meeting a friend for dinner tomorrow.
Otherwise keeping it low key to allow revision time and trying to tackle garden, paperwork, cleaning etc where I can.
