... a grandad! One of my birth children popped out a little girl this morning. Got a bit traumatic towards the end but she escaped without a caesarian. Baby is over 8 lbs which I think is quite big for a first one.
Mum is doing OK but being looked after by the high dependency people; baby is great; dad looks a bit shattered. Grandad is fine!

Fabulous news. Congrats!
I hope your daughter is much recovered by the morning. 'High dependency' people sounds a bit scary. That's basically intensive care, isn't it?

Congratulations! Enjoy being Grandad. Hope Mum is feeling better soon and is able to fully enjoy her gorgeously chubby baby soon. (I love chubby babies, they are so cuddly and cute!)

Hi, Daffin -
I guess it's a step down from intensive care. She seemed to be back to normal care by the evening, which is great news. Though there's the normal confusion as to when she'll be coming home - one person says Saturday; another looks surprised and says Sunday at the earliest.
Mudlark - No, I haven't thought of a forum name for her yet.
