Our LA recently had its OFSTED/CQC SEN inspection along with a few others around the country - reports seem to be taking a while to get published - hmmm. I have noticed the reports gradually going onto the web. Pretty bleak reading so far except Brighton and Hove - you lucky people anyone who lives there and needs SEN support sounds amazing!! www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/537477/Joint_local_area_SEND_inspection_in_Brighton_and_Hove.pdfNeedless to say our area will not be getting a glowing report. If you've been invited to take part in the DH research looking at the EHCP process then I would recommend it. The questionnaire is actually quite well constructed in that it allows you to say what you want to say rather than asking questions about things that you don't think important because they know those are the questions that all get favourable responses - as is usually the case (I'm not at all cynical am I? ) I recommend anyone with a child with SEN gets involved - might not make a jot of difference but it's a chance to make some noise. You should get a letter if your child has an EHCP.
