Monkey Boy had his first family therapy session today. We all survived it. He went calmly to school afterwards And this evening he gave me a big hug and said 'I really love you Mummy.' Fabulous! And this is after a week away on holiday - the first ever where I didn't feel persecuted by him. We all had a lovely time. Lots of time outdoors - playing on the beach, climbing the odd hill and going to a couple of lovely gardens. The kids had other kids to play with and other adults to relate to, which always helps. So, not just small steps of progress but big strides. Touch wood, fingers crossed - and everything else - that the progress is sustained. Anyway, while it's here, I'm loving it!!

Oh wow, that is fabulous Daffin, I'm so pleased for you. Therapy is great, but you and DH have been amazing. You are a fab mum and MB is lucky to have such devoted parents behind him. Never forget how much your influence, nurture and unconditional love has played a part in all of this. Well done all round. Hope progress continues. xx
