We have heard today that SS have found what looks to be a good placement for my AD (who is accomodated under section 20). :DThe placement is described as a therapeutic residential school. They seem to be able to provide appropriate therapies and the school looks like it should be able to cover some of her GCSE subjects (not Japanese though - LOL!). The only problem is that it is about 4 hours drive away - in the middle of nowhere because she is an absconding risk. It has an outstanding Ofsted report. My other AD (her twin) was moved last week to a new hospital which seems to be HEAPS better than the previous one. A little closer than her sister (2 miles away) but in the opposite direction. We are very impressed with them so far. So, we may find in a couple of weeks time that both our daughters are in placements that meet their needs! Although visiting is going to be tricky. Might not be able to continue visits to both of them every weekend. Maybe alternate between them. It's gonna be hard! A (dare I be?) optimistic JM. x

Oh jollymummy I'm so pleased to hear of some good news for you and your girls! Has made me beam reading this. I hope you can go and visit the place before she moves in to get the feel of it and the staff. Let us know how it goes... I'd love to hear.

That is good news that they are both getting the help they need.
Hard with the travelling though. I have several friends and family who have bought second properties for the weekends in the middle to ease the travelling. Doesn't help if they are in opposite directions though.
You should deffo be optimistic.

So glad things are improving for you, and the girls are getting the help they need at last. Visiting them both will be tricky but you must feel so relieved that at last things are moving forward.
