Get Simba Sky sports
he is becoming a very serious sports fan, watches anything and everything he can find. He rarely watches TV now unless it's sports related
another £9 a month
or will I live to regret it !

Could he pay for it (or part pay) out of his pocket money?
So glad I have girls! Only sport I like watching is tennis and then mostly only during Wimbledon.

TDo you have a good neighbour with sky who might let him watch it. Or just watch what is on terrestrial channels.o

How much time does it buy you?! If it gives you extra down time... Hell yeah! Xx

I do like some sport. Imhavevresignedvmyself as mum to a boy that a certain amount footie watching is inevitable.
We do have a number of spirits channels ahd he scours them, we've been watching soe very obscure things, but he was desparate to see something today and it was only on sky.
It's amazing how quickly he picks up on stuff, we have been watching cycling thus week, we have had a number if 'fascinating' chats about the Madison which has to be one of the most complicated races ever, Claire Baldingbwas in a right tizzy over it, Simba got in straight away
Maybe for his birthday

I think nowadays anyone interested in sports has sky sports because so many of the sports are only covered on sky. We have cheated - I have a good friend who has sky sports and we use his ID to sign in online on the iPad. Would that be a stepping stone to see how well he copes/ how obsessive it becomes??
Starlet loves watching rugby league (she goes with my mum whenever she can), we both watch athletics and football and also tennis. I find it quite therapeutic for us both - we can scream and shout at the tv rather than each other lol. It's quite a bonding experience supporting the same team or player as well.

Hmmmh I'd tread carefully if I were you.
It's great that he is interested in sports, but would it become his new obsession?
I know it would be educational, but could it become the new "Peppa Pig" and as Toko said you were saying you should spend more time together, wouldn't Sky ruin that? I suppose if you set ground rules first about the amount of tine he is allowed to watch it, it could work to give you downtime, but if not it might cause more stress than it's worth or you could always get it on a trial basis and reassess after 3 months.

He is already obsessed, he watches anything he can find, it's not really the same as The Pig. He watches a wide range of sports and gets really interested in them, he participates in sports, we go to events. I see it as a healthy interest, and if in the future it helps keep him on the straight and narrow, and not wanting to hang around in the park because there's nothing to to, it's a very valuable interest. I'd rather sit with him and watch some sports than be constsntly nagged about playing with him on the Wii.
Think I've just talked myself into it.....

I would say 'Listen darling it is wonderfull you have this sport interest, but for now you just have to do with what's avaliable. You just stole 20 pounds out of our holiday money, until I am very sure this does not happen again I will not spend money on any extra's for you. Any idea how much this cost, you stole 2 months worth of sport watching, I will reconsider in 3 months time, than we can talk about it again. If in the mean time you are bending my ear or steal again I will not reconsider and the situation stays how it is'.
I pressume he's already playing a sport, that's very good and migh prevent him derailing. Watching tv will not.
