Some useful resources below from a workshop I attended this week.
Sensory Processing Disorder is now a recognised medical term but only for people with Autism. People with any other diagnosis (or none at all) can be said to have sensory processing difficulties.
Interesting that teaching now is that we have 7 senses; the usual 5 plus Vestibular (knowing where your head is in space i.e the right way up or upside down) and Proprioception (internal body awareness / sensing your own body position / gauging force needed to do things)
