Will be interesting to see what, if anything, is actually done to action the recommendations, particularly the more tricky ones re: adoption etc and supporting/understanding children more during their education.
Yes very interesting, FAS and FASD were not mentioned at all during our preparation, it was brushed under the carpet by the social workers. ..perhaps because they know how hard it is to get a diagnosis and even harder to access support, and the sheer amount of 'unknowns' that come with it means that they assume it is very 'unattractive' to prospective adopters....and so it seems it's an unspoken issue in many LA's.
I hope this report gets some people sitting up and paying attention.
