called a rabbitt changing mat. its a super bit of kit sold on ebay and amazon It means baby/ child cant roll. Tbh I got it as I'm not very dexterous and wriggling child and trying to do nappy on changing unit or even on carpet when you don't want poo mushed in..... you just velcro the straps round then clip on the front We had 2, but when my mum friends noticed it and tried it on their babies it's been a village success story ! Even the local children's centre has one you can use it up to 2 years age of child. they are good

Not particularly exciting to look at but Stig loves his. At last he can make a cuppa safely.

The Breville Hot Cup will deliver you one cup of boiling water in less than 60 seconds! Its innovative design with blue internal illumination adds style and sophistication to any kitchen. The Hot Cup is used just like a normal kettle, but by only boiling enough water for the number of cups you need, the Hot Cup is economical and energy efficient. Transparent water tank with dry boil protection 3kW. 1.5 litres/5 cup capacity. Illuminates when boiling. Removable drip tray. Safety cut-out. Energy saving. Cord storage. Size H28.6, W16.3, D27.5cm. Weight 1.6kg. EAN: 5011773034579.
I've got one of these, cost around £40 and they are great. Very safe for kids to use as there is no lifting or pouring required so minimizes accidents. You can just fill it by using a plastic measuring jug, so no lifting required. Very useful for elderly people too or those with weak wrists.
Only thing is you need to make sure your mugs are big enough if you like to put the milk in first as I do, otherwise you end up with too much water and it overflows into the drip tray if your mug is too small. I hadn't thought about it being useful to disabled people until I saw twoplustwo's post above and thought I'd add it on here as it's quite stylish and affordable too.
