POTATO - Parents of traumatized adopted Teens organisation.
We are a group of around 200 parents of adopted teenagers from all over the UK.
Collectively we parent young people who have suffered early, repeated trauma and continue to face difficulties in their teen and young adult years.
Our purpose is to provide a peer based service for families who are host to teenagers who hurt and help them access support, information, resources and friendship from people who are living it and truly understand.
As our influence has grown our members have been in conference with Sir Martin Narey, attended adoption related conferences and set up a conference of our own, set up a private group on facebook and interacted with adoptionuk’ s forum and adopterssupportuk.freeforums.net.
I'm posting on here as I am trying to retrieve my password for the Potato site to thank them so much for the beautiful bouquet of flowers that were delivered to my house today. I was so touched by this lovely gesture, especially as today is my BS's anniversary and their kind gesture reduced me to tears.
I hope some of the Potato members see this post and can pass on my thanks which I intend to do on their site as soon as I can retrieve my password.
There are some truly lovely people on Planet Adoption xx
update:- (Have managed to find their Admin email and have thanked them that way).
